Farmor’s School is leading an exciting project to build a state-of-the-art, all-weather astroturf pitch in Fairford. With a growing population and limited sports facilities, the town urgently needs a high-quality space for year-round use. Our site has been identified by sporting bodies such as the Football Foundation and RFU as a priority area for development, making us eligible for match funding covering up to 70% of the total cost. All we need now is to raise £300,000 locally to unlock this support!

The pitch will benefit not only Farmor’s students but also local sports clubs, including Fairford Youth Football Club and Fairford Rugby Club, and provide opportunities for underrepresented groups such as walking football and rugby players. It will support sport at all levels—from school teams to grassroots community clubs—and promote physical and mental well-being across all ages.

This community hub will feature excellent access, parking, modern changing rooms, and links to the adjacent sports hall, with plans to enhance public use. The astroturf will reduce travel for many families who currently journey to Cirencester for facilities, saving time and costs while boosting local businesses.

We're passionate educators and volunteers working to provide a lasting legacy for future generations. Your support will help create a vibrant space for sport, fitness, inclusion, and community connection.
